EXPLORING 🏞️ SHILLONG

Hello everyone,
Welcome back to my website. Its been a long time since I posted any travel content on my blog.
On the month of May I went to Shillong with my family so here I am, writing my Shillong blog. I hope this blog will help you if you're planning your next trip to Shillong!


Flight details-

Day - 1

After having reached the Guwahati Airport we booked a taxi for Shillong. It took us a good 5 hours to reach Shillong which was so much tiring and pathetic. It was evening by the time we reached there. We did not pre book any hotel which is why we had to face a bit problem while hotel searching.

Day - 2

It was a leisure day for us. The only major problem I had there was food. 
We had our breakfast at the EE CEE HOTEL. 
In the evening, we visited the beautiful Shillong lake. The area is beautifully decorated and boating is also available!

The roads in the town are needed to be appreciated. 


Day - 3

We booked a cab and went for sightseeing. The day began with visiting the wonderful Elephant Falls. 



Next we decided to go to the cleanest village of Asia- Mawlynnong, the Living Root Bridge and Dawki river. 

The Living Root bridge is a naturally built bridge surrounded by waterfalls. 






Day - 4

We checked out from our hotel and booked an AC bus from RedBus.com for our next destination to Guwahati- the captial city of Assam . It took us around 3 hours to reach by bus. 

Hotel- Hotel Vandana (oppo. Paltan Bazar Bus stand)

Day - 5

The main reason of this trip was Kamakhya Temple . We waited there for some insane 9 hours in the queue to visit inside the temple and give our offerings. 


Day - 6

In the morning, we went to some park which was beside the Bramhaputra River . After having our lunch, we checked out from our hotel and went to the Guwahati Airport. 

That was the end of our short trip to Shillong-Guwahati.

THE PASTEL- VINTAGE TOUCH

Hello everyone, it's been a while! Welcome to my blog! I hope you all are doing well. If you're new to my blog, don't forget to read my previous posts.  For today's blog, I have styled my basic pieces of clothing in a vintage style. I have never been a fan of vintage looks and personally, my aesthetic is minimalism. So, I tried to blend in my basic pieces and gave them a little vintage touch.  Recently, I have started loving the pastel hues and nudes. They set up a totally different mood. Outfit For the look, I have paired a basic white ruffled shirt with a pastel faux suede pinafore dress.  The black fluffy ring came along with the dress and that creates an 'emphasis' to the whole outfit along with the beautiful ruffles.
