Hello lovelies,
I hope you guys are doing well and yet again thank you so much for reading my blogs.
Welcome back to my website and if you're new, don't forget to check my previous posts.
.
In today's blog, I am talking about "Fashion" in its truest form. We will discuss about how Fashion is being misinterpreted by 'fashionistas' and how different it is when we look into the realness of the fashion world!
Being a Fashion designing student for two years, I myself came to know so much about the fashion industry and well, studying the subject is not that easy as it is usually thought. That's a different story, might talk about it later!
In today's world where the generation is quite dependent rather hooked on the digital world, we see so many budding influencers, some portraying fashion so beautifully while some of these influencers make us feel uncomfortable and judge us when we get an insight of their extravagant life with Pinteresty wardrobes and so on.
Uh hu? Let's agree on this that at least once while scrolling through those Pinteresty pictures, for once we all wanted a huge white painted room decorated with fairy lights and a huge closet with all sorts of branded outfits? If you haven't even dreamt of this, you're really great and you actually know what makes you happy.
What Fashion means to me?
Fashion, to me, is the way we present ourselves. It is more than wearing a perfectly matched outfit, it is basically something that makes me comfortable .
I personally believe that these days, Fashion is not just restricted to "What are you wearing?". Fashion speaks, "How well are you presenting yourself". In fact, Fashion, this term is everywhere, even the room you live in can portray fashion, the accessories you were can talk a lot about Fashion. Fashion also voices about our Lifestyle.
At the same time, fashion doesn't mean the high end brands. It can also talk about your style, how you style that Rs500 top/shirt and re-wear it in different ways.
Fashion is MOOD . Simple. Even the colors you wear throws a light on your personality. Just believe this that, when you look into the mirror and see your reflection wearing that beautiful dress, be it from Zara or Gariahaat, make sure that you're carrying your mood and confidence with that outfit. Trust me, if you do so, no one else can be more fashionable than you are!
I have asked some of my favorite influencers who are doing some really great works to talk about "What Fashion means to them?" Here's what they have to say.
Arunima Ghosh @arunniima
"Fashion to me doesn't mean wearing what's on trend rather bringing back styles that deserves more hype. It's vintage, flared pants and polka dots. Fashion is when the price tag doesn't make you fashionable, the way you carry it does. Fashion is all classy and breezy and something that makes my mood right anytime".
Pushpak Sen @thebongmunda
"Fashion is not in the clothes you wear. It is in the confidence with which you carry yourself, speak, walk, eat, argue and look at life. Fashion is to rebel. Fashion is to art. Fashion is to be who you want to be unapologetically".
Akash Saha @chameleon_bloke
"For me fashion mean the cloths you wear it speak your personality
You don’t have to say about yourself your outfit will speak for you
I’m more of an accessory person lapel pin brooches scarves pocket square shoes watches
Last but not the least a person can look good in 1500 leather jacket than in 15k Armani leather jacket you just have to know how to do it right".
Ana Mishra @anamishraa
"Fashion is a very subjective topic. For most of the people it's about High end brands and expensive clothes (as far as I've seen). For me, it has always been about affordability and sustainability as well. Fashion for me is like expressing myself. My personal style is mixture of minimalism and colours. Through colours, I want to show the happy and bright side of me and through minimalism I want to show my other side which is simple and effortless. Fashion for me is all about creativity".
Abir Banerjee @themistletoeguy
"For me, fashion is a way we get to express ourselfs. It is a way we get to define people, know about their attitude and personality. It is much more than wearing expensive clothes and it is more of wearing simple clothes with oozing confidence.Fashion is an art, fashion is you".
Pragya Mitra @thewowfactor_bypragya
"Fashion to me is some sort of anti-anxiety pills. Fashion makes me happy. Everytime when i worry about my life messing up or things not working out well i try cheering myself up by planning on how i would style my clothes or what should my makeup for a certain event be or just randomly stalking some of my favourite celebrities for an everyday motivation. Fashion to me is what makes me feel more alive, everyday. It's about learning and creating. For an aspiring fashion designer, fashion to me is what i can create for the world and how my styles and my designs can make someone else feel a lot better just like it does for me".
Thank you so much for reading the blog. Let's keep faith in our self-confidence!
